How often
Once or twice a year for most people, and every few months if anyone in the house has allergies. Wash the cover weekly to keep the duvet itself cleaner for longer.
Will it fit your machine?
A duvet needs room to move. Single duvets often fit a large home machine; doubles, kings and feather duvets usually need a commercial drum.
Drying is the hard part
A duvet must be completely dry right through, or it will smell musty and the filling will clump. That can take several hours in a large tumble dryer.
When to use a laundry
For anything bigger than a single, feather and down duvets, or if you have nowhere to dry it. We wash and fully dry duvets from £14.99.
