Blot, never rub
Rubbing pushes the stain deeper and damages the fibres. Blot gently with a clean white cloth from the outside in.
Avoid heat
Do not iron, tumble dry or use hot water on a stain. Heat sets protein and sugar stains permanently.
Oily stains
Curry, oil and make-up stains do not mix with water. Leave them alone and bring the garment in — dry cleaning solvents are designed for exactly this.
